Meet Recap

The Hoover boys tennis team (8-4) ended their regular season in a tough 7-2 loss to Spain Park. Despite close performances by multiple players, the Bucs were unable to gain any ground on the talented Jaguars. Derek Tucker had the most exciting match of the night by winning a 9-8 (16-14) tiebreaker over Dalton Holladay at #3 singles. Nathan Ng and Matthew Sherrill combined to win #2 doubles 8-6. Manish Gorre, Sherrill, and Ng all came within 2 games of defeating their opponents but fell just short. Hoover plays in the section tournament next week on Wednesday.
