Hoover has great performances at MLK Invitational

On Martin Luther King Day on Monday, the Hoover Boys and Girls Track Teams had many great performances which led the Boys and Girls to be the highest scoring teams in 7A. The boys team were led by multiple first place finishes from Trent Hamner in the 800 who won in 1:58.02 in one of the most exciting races, winning by .02 seconds , the boys 4×800 with the quartet of Joe Leventry, Trent Hamner, John Paul Rumore and Tommy Mcdonoyugh won in a meet record time of 8:09, the boys 4×4 of Leventry, Mcdonough, Hamner and Dorian Austin also won in a state leading time. The girls were led by Caitlyn Little who won the 60 hurdles in 8.56 seconds, who was also helped along by the girls 4×200, 4×400 and 4×800 who all placed in the top 3 of their events. Overall it was a great day for Hoover Track and should set them up nicely for Indoor State in 3 weeks.
