Hoover beats GA AA #1 Team

7A #9 Hoover traveled to Savannah, GA to take on GA AA #1 St. Vincent’s Academy tonight. The game was scoreless until late in the first half when Jordan Henderson beat the SVA keeper off the assist from Mackenzee Smith. HHS lead 1-0 at the half. Smith and Gabby Walker each added unassisted goals to put the Bucs up 3-1. Jilian Joyner then scored off the assist from Henderson to go ahead 4-1. The final goal for HHS came when Smith scored her second off another assist by Henderson. St. V scored all three goals in the second half, including a penalty shot for their final goal. HHS improves to 10-5 on the 2017 season. The Bucs take on Savannah Christian Prep tomorrow before returning home.
