Hoover High School
The Hoover Buccaneers (23-5) loses to the Lee-Montgomery Generals 70-65.
The Bucs had a four point lead going into the half but Lee came out in the third and went on a 27-6 run. The Bucs answered back in the fourth period, cutting their 17 point deficit, outscoring Lee 27-15, but that wasn’t enough as they lost for the first time since December 21st.
Jamari Blackmon led all scorers with 27 points. Ellis Conwell added 11, Justin Rumph added 10, and Tavian Roundtree added 9 points on three 3-pointers in the fourth.
The Bucs will be back in action on Thursday, February 2nd, vs. Woodlawn at home. The Bucs close out regular season play Friday night at Spain Park.
