Auburn Captures Lead Early To Defeat Hoover Buccaneers Varsity
Hoover Buccaneers Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-6 loss to Auburn on Friday.
Despite the loss, Hoover Buccaneers Varsity did collect 15 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Auburn had ten hits on the way to victory.
Hoover Buccaneers Varsity scored three runs in the second inning. Hoover Buccaneers Varsity scored on a double by Drew Guffey and a error.
Scott Elgin took the loss for Hoover Buccaneers Varsity. He tossed four and a third innings, surrendering nine runs, nine hits, and striking out four.
Brandon Agsalud, Guffey, Max Garvey, CJ Gilliland, Garrett Farquhar, and Tyler Williams each collected multiple hits for Hoover Buccaneers Varsity. Agsalud went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Hoover Buccaneers Varsity in hits.
