Multiple Teams · Humphrey Makes NFL Debut Sunday

On Sundays, the Buc Nation will have their eyes focused on the Baltimore Ravens this year. We will be watching our own Marlon Humphrey. Marlon is a 2014 Hoover alum where he starred in Football and Track.

After his career at Hoover, Humphrey went on to play football as well as run track at the University of Alabama. He redshirted his Freshman season of football and started the next two. The 6’1″ DB helped the Tide win the 2016 National Championship. During that game, Marlon made a remarkable game changing play on special teams.

On January 13, 2017, the former Buc made an announcement that would change his life. He was forgoing his eligibility at Alabama and enter the NFL draft. Humphrey was the first Tide player off the board in April. He was selected in the first round and the 16th overall pick in the 2017 draft. His new team is the Baltimore Ravens.

An ailing hamstring limited his appearances during Spring Training but was able to play all 81 defensive snaps last Thursday. He forced a fumble during the win over the New Orleans Saints. The timing of this game was perfect for our new Raven as he was able to tune up before he and the rest of his team travel to Cincinnati take on the Bengals Sunday.

Come back next Wednesday for a new weekly rundown on #29.
