Welcome to our new story line, Humpday! During this NFL season, we are going to watch Hoover alum, Marlon Humphrey.
Sunday, Marlon and his Raven teammates blanked Cincinnati Bengals, 20-0. This marked the 43rd time the two organizations had played each other. The Ravens now lead the series 22-21. Marlon did not record any stats but that didn’t mean he didn’t play nor contribute. He played in nine defensive snaps and ten plays on specials teams.
The Ravens defense allowed Bengals quaterback, Andrew Dalton, to throw just 170 yards with a 51.6% completion and intercepted him four times Sunday.
According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens coach had this to say our Hoover alum. “I thought Marlon played really well,” coach John Harbaugh said Monday. “He definitely earned more snaps. He played nine plays on defense and played pretty well on special teams. I would say he earned more snaps. He played well. All the corners played exceptionally well — all three corners on the outside, plus Webby in the nickel. They played very well.”
The Ravens now focuses on the Cleveland Browns with a 12:00 CT kickoff.
Back in April, Marlon sat down with the Baltimore Ravens in a “Get to Know Marlon and His Parents“. With a very athletic family like the Humphreys, you have to wonder there has to some competitiveness in the family. Find out who has the most at the 2:05 mark.
Good luck this week #29!
