The 2019 Lady Bucs golf season has begun. The team’s first tournament of the
season was held in Auburn at Saugahatchee Country Club where cold and rain
was the story. The Bucs finished 6th out of 18 teams.
Senior Emily Baker led the Bucs with 83. Neysa Dechachutinan(86), Julia Freeman(93),
Hailey Remick(99) and Gabriela Anderson(101) rounded out the Bucs scoring.
The second tournament of the season was held in Dothan at RTJ Highland Oaks.
No rain but chilly and windy conditions proved to be a challenge. The Bucs finished
6th out of 13 teams. Dechachutinan led the Bucs with a 83 followed by Baker’s 84,
Anderson’s 94 and Freeman’s 96.
The third tournament was a four team 18 hole match held in Pratville at RTJ Capitol
Hill(Senator Course). And once again cold and windy conditions makes this Links
style course feel like Scotland. The Bucs finished 3rd out of the 4 with
Dechachutinan’s 79, Baker’s 81, Freeman’s 95 and Anderson’s 102.
The fourth tournament was held in Glenco at the RTJ Silver Lakes golf course.
Finally some favorable weather with no rain, little wind and some actual sunshine.
The girls team score continues to improve as the Bucs took 3rd out of 20 teams.
Baker led the way with a 79 followed by Dechachutinan(80), Freeman(87), Remick(88)
The Bucs next hit the course at Hoover CC and Oxmoor Valley Ridge hosting the
annual March Madness tournament on March 11 and 12th.
