JV went 3-0 this past week and finished the season yesterday with a record of 19-8 on the season.

Tuesday, April 16th – Hoover 1, Brookwood 0

Madysen Chaney threw a shutout to lead Hoover Bucs JV past Brookwood 1-0 last Tuesday.

Hoover got on the board in the first inning when Caroline Whisenhunt singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Chaney earned the win for the Bucs. She lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out five.

Whisenhunt, AG Parker, and Katie Hart each collected one hit.

Wednesday, April 17th – Hoover 12, Tuscaloosa County 0

Hoover Bucs JV defeated Tuscaloosa County 12-0 as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Hoover Bucs JV notched ten runs in the fourth inning.  Hoover Bucs JV batters contributing to the big inning included Madelyn Quirk, Noelle Nicholson, Katie Hart, Linleigh Hardy, Caroline Whisenhunt, and Annelise Clark, all driving in runs in the frame.

Whisenhunt took the win for Hoover Bucs JV. She allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking zero. Lewis threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Quirk led Hoover Bucs JV with two hits in two at bats.

Tuesday, April 23rd – Hoover 17, Southside 2

Hoover scored eleven runs in the first and never looked back as they defeated Southside 17-2.

Liz Lewis three innings for the Bucs allowing three hits and striking out two to earn her seventh win of the season.

Laney Roe, Linleigh Hardy, AG Parker, Bailee Tramell all had multiple hits for Hoover. Hardy and Tramell each had a home run.

Hardy had five RBIs on the day.
