Ian McIntosh scored the first goal assisted by Kory Nichols in the 17′. Alex Tovar scored the second goal in the 29′ assisted by Cole Williams. Cole Williams scored the third goal in the 80′ on a free kick.
Jackson Hoesley and Taylor Holmberg combined for the shutout.
Hoover record is 13-3-2.

Game Recap

The Hoover Buccaneers lost 3-1 in six innings on Saturday to eliminate Hoover from the Dothan Tournament.

Anthony went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Hoover Buccaneers. She singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.

Phenix City Central High School didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when it scored on a two-run home run by Webb.

Hoover’s record is now 9-9 on the season.

Game Recap

The Hoover Buccaneers jumped out to an early lead on Geneva and captured a 9-2 victory on Saturday.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Hoover Buccaneers left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A groundout by Abby Tissier during the first inning and an RBI single by Mary Catherine Nichols, a three-run error, and an RBI single by Caroline Hart going 1 for 3 in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Hoover Buccaneers.

Nichols went a perfect 2-2 and a walk at the dish for the Hoover Buccaneers.

It didn’t take long for the Hoover Buccaneers to respond as they scored three runs of their own in the fourth. The Hoover Buccaneers scored on a two-run double by Abby Tissier and a fielder’s choice.

The Hoover Buccaneers built an early lead against Goshen High School, scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 3-2 win on Friday at Northview High School.

The Hoover Buccaneers scored in the first on a groundout by Abby Tissier, a groundout by Caroline Hart, and a groundout by Kaley Anthony.

The Hoover Buccaneers staved off Goshen High School as Goshen High School was unable to match the Hoover Buccaneers down the stretch.

Goshen High School scored on an RBI double by Ellisor in the fourth inning and an RBI single by Allen in the fifth inning. Unfortunately, Goshen High School wasn’t able to take the lead back.

Morgan Pate got the win for the Hoover Buccaneers. She allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings. She struck out five, walked four and surrendered four hits.

Hoover Buccaneers closer Abby Grace Praytor put away the final out to record the save.

Oak Mountain defeated Hoover in the semi-finals of the Metro Tournamnet 2-1 in overtime.
Kory Nichols tied the score assisted by Ian McIntosh in the 66th minute. Oak Mountain scored first in the 59th minute and scored the final goal with 30 seconds remaining in the first overtime.
Hoover record 12-3-2.

The Hoover Buccaneers and Northview exchanged the lead five times on Friday, but the Hoover Buccaneers ended up on top with a 5-4 win in five innings over Northview.

The Hoover Buccaneers pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. The Buccaneers scored on a launched RBI double by Kaley Anthony going 1 for 3 off Massey, bringing home Leslie Norris who pinch ran Katie Jalbert who also went 1 for 3.
Abby Tissier was a big tribute to tonight’s offense going 2 for 3 by being the tying run in the bottom of the 5th. Then was scored by Katie Jalbert’s rip up the middle.

Abby Grace Praytor struck out eight, paving the way for a the Hoover Buccaneers win. Praytor allowed only one earned run on two hits and three walks over five innings.

Massey was charged with the loss. She lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

Northview jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Senn kicked things off for Northview with a single.

The Hoover now has a record of 8 – 8.

Class 7A #4 Hoover falls to 7A #7 Thompson 2-1 in the Metro Area Tournament semi finals. The Warriors (12-3) lead 1-0 early in the first half on a header goal by Peyton Poe offthen assist from her sister, Mariah Poe. The Warriors went up 2-0 late in the seconf half on a break away goal by Meghan Cottingham.

The Bucs’ Brianna Morris scored with less than 1 second go off the assist from Jordan Henderson to make it 2-1.

The Bucs fall to 9-4-1.

Great pitching leads the Hoover Buccaneers JV past Spain Park 5-0

Friday was a great day for Michael McClung, as Michael McClung threw a shutout to carry the Hoover Buccaneers JV to a 5-0 victory over Spain Park at Hoover in seven innings.

The Hoover Buccaneers JV’s Michael McClung kept Spain Park off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out five.

Ty Robinson had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third and fourth innings.

Graham was charged with the loss. He lasted just 5 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed five runs.

The Hoover Buccaneers JV never trailed after scoring two runs in the third on an error and an RBI single by Ben Abercrombie.

The Hoover Buccaneers JV tacked on another three runs in the fourth. A clutch error scored Max Garvey to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Robinson’s double, scoring Will Singleton and Brock Guffey.
