It was a tough day on Friday for Bucs Varsity, who lost 8-1 to Hewitt-Trussville
Carson Skipper led things off on the rubber for Hewitt-Trussville. He surrendered one run on three hits over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking one.
Connor Campbell was on the mound for Bucs Varsity. He surrendered five runs on six hits over three innings. Will Pratt and Joshua Kissinger entered the game as relief, throwing two and a third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
Preston Moore, Sonny DiChiara, and Nolan Hammonds each managed one hit to lead Bucs Varsity.
Hewitt-Trussville had 11 hits in the game. Jacob Bishop, Skipper, Ty Mauldin, and Caden Kirk each collected multiple hits for Hewitt-Trussville. Hewitt-Trussville didn’t commit a single error in the field. Evan Kirk had 14 chances in the field, the most on the team.
