Lady Bucs Varsity Soccer continued to work hard and develop for the 2019 season as they faced a strong Chelsea team at home last night, Monday, 4/23. Despite several long term injuries and some additional short term injuries, the 2019 season looks to be very promising. Chelsea was able to secure a 2-0 lead at halftime, but the second half saw the Lady Bucs creating many more scoring opportunities and earning a penalty kick mid-way through the second half. Junior Gaby Walker secured the penalty kick goal. Graduating seniors Urmi Roy and Maria Buitrago worked hard on the field as fellow graduating senior Elena Register recorded numerous great saves and several breakaway saves in the final game of the Hoover High School Soccer career. Final score Bus 1, Chelsea 2. The seniors will be missed and the HHS soccer whole organization wishes them the very best as Urmi goes to Univ. of Alabama, Maria heads to Auburn Univ., and Elena Register is going north to play goalkeeper at Plymouth Sate University in NH.
