Hoover Bucs Varsity Defeats Vestavia Hills

Hoover Bucs Varsity weathered a push by Vestavia Hills, but managed to win 11-6 on Wednesday. Hoover Bucs Varsity collected 14 hits and Vestavia Hills had eight.

Brynn Parker earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Hoover. She surrendered six runs on seven hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five. Brooklyn Cannon threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Hoover Bucs Varsity tallied two home runs on the day. Jordan Moore had a grand slam in the first inning. Campbell Hecklinski also hit one out in the third inning.
Hoover Bucs Varsity scattered 14 hits in the game. Caroline Nichols, Hecklinski, Sydney Chandler, and Harper Niblett each managed multiple hits for Hoover Bucs Varsity. Nichols led Hoover Bucs Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
