Hoover Buccaneers JV took home a 5-2 victory over Helena on Tuesday.
Hoover Buccaneers JV got on the board in the second inning when Hess Fridley singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Jack Campbell earned the victory on the hill for Hoover Buccaneers JV. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three. John David Shanlever, Roman Zimmerman, and Brewer Smith all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Austin Collins was on the pitcher’s mound for Helena. He surrendered two runs on three hits over three innings, striking out two. Jackson Snyder and Brody McAbee entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.
Fridley, Connor Prothro, and Carter Milliron each collected one hit to lead Hoover Buccaneers JV. Hoover Buccaneers JV was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Milliron made the most plays with 11.
