Hoover Bucs Varsity cruised to an easy victory over Houston 11-1 on Saturday.
Hoover Bucs Varsity got on the board in the first inning when Robby Ashford tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
Hoover Bucs Varsity put up five runs in the fourth inning. Daniel Swatek and Evan Radford powered the big inning with RBIs.
Austin Cornelius led the Hoover Bucs Varsity to victory on the hill. He lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out seven.
Hoover Bucs Varsity collected nine hits. Lawrence Hammonds, Peyton Wilson, and Radford each racked up multiple hits for Hoover Bucs Varsity. Radford, Wilson, and Hammonds each collected two hits to lead Hoover Bucs Varsity. Hoover Bucs Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Wilson had the most chances in the field with seven.
