Two Hoover Buccaneers JV Pitchers Combine To Shutout Spain Park
Hoover Buccaneers JV defeated Spain Park 11-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Carlton Pursell struck out Eberhardt to finish off the game.
Hoover Buccaneers JV secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. Hoover Buccaneers JV big bats were led by Lucas Steele, Tyner Patterson, Sean Agsalud, and Andrew Batson, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Hoover Buccaneers JV opened up scoring in the first inning. Steele drove in one when he singled.
One bright spot for Spain Park was a single by Thompson in the fourth inning.
Matthew Hawsey got the win for Hoover Buccaneers JV . He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out one and walking zero. Pursell threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
