Cross Country Travels to Idaho

Hoover Cross Country has a meet in Idaho coming up this weekend, the Bob Firman Invitational. It will take place in Boise, ID. Last year there were teams from Idaho, California, Oregon, Wyoming, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Washington participating. An image of the course is pictured below.

Chile Pepper Invitational

This weekend the Cross Country team traveled to Arkansas to compete in the Chile Pepper Cross Country Invitational. The Chile Pepper celebrates its 27th year and hosted approximately 5,300 runners and over 5,000 spectators this weekend. The support of sponsors, runners, and athletes has contributed more than $400,000 to Northwest Arkansas cross-country programs in 2014 $45,000

Hoover finishes 1 and 2 at Oak Mountain Invitational

Hoover’s girls took home first place at the Oak Mountain Invitational this weekend as the girls swept the first four places. The girls were led by Presley Weems (20:11.32). Hoover’s boys finished 2nd to host Oak Mountain.

2015 Scholarship Athletes

Birmingham 2014 All-Metro Cross Country Team

Hoover had two to represent the 2014 Birmingham All-Metro Girls Cross Country team. Freshman Sydney Steely brought home First-Team honors while Sydnee Goyer (Sophmore) made Second team.
