Brittley Humphrey Medals in the World Youth Championships

Congratulations to Brittley Humphrey for winning a silver medal for Team USA in the 100 Meter Hurdles at the 2015 9th IAAF World Youth Championships in Columbia.  Brittley set a PR of 13.22 in the final.  Congratulations Brittley! 2015 Scholarship Athletes

Hoover Girls/Boys Finish 1st & 2nd at MLK Indoor

Hoover’s Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams finished 1st and 2nd respectively at the MLK Indoor at Crossplex. Hoover’s Brittley Humphrey set a Crossplex record running the 60m Hurdles in 8.73 seconds. Congratulations to these athletes! All finishes and times can be found here.

Weekend Recap

Hoover athletics was busy this weekend. Boys and Girls Basketball competed on Friday and had other sports competing as well throughout the weekend. Competition Cheer: The cheer team competed Sunday night and finished second and a bid to compete in the Nationals in February in Orlando.  Football: Hoover Football was represented in the annual Alabama/Mississippi All-Star

Magic City Invitational

There was an Indoor Track Meet on Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex. Hoover’s girls brought home the Magic City Invitational title while the boys finished second place. AL.com has the complete story and Alabama Runners has the complete stats.

Hind Awarded Track & Field Coach of the Year

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Tuesday the state-by-state winners of its inaugural High School Coach of the Year award. Our very own Coach Hind was named Girls Coach of the Year. Congratulations Coach!  The complete article is here.
