Outdoor Track Meeting This Week

If you are interested in participating in Outdoor Track, there is a required parent and athlete meeting on Thursday, January 26, at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria.

AHSAA XC State Championship

Hoover Varsity competed in the AHSAA State Championship race the Saturday (Nov 12). They place 3rd place for the guys and 4th place for the girls. The race was in Oakville, AL. For the results go here and go to 7A guys or 7A girls 5K

Hoover XC Varsity Makes State

Hoover Varsity teams last week ran sectionals last week (Thursday Nov 3) and qualified for the State Meet, where they will compete for the state title against Mt. Brook and other varying high schools.

Cross Country: JV Championship Results

Last week, the boys’ and girls’ JV Cross Country team competed in their championship against Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills, Hewitt-Trussville, Spain Park, Homewood, Helena, and Thompson. The boys’ team won and the girls’ team came second to Mountain Brook. To view the results in detail, click here.

Boys JV Championship

Hoover went to Alabaster for JV championship this Thursday (Oct. 27) and won with 17 points to Mountain Brook’s 58. Also sweeping 1-4 with Daniel Presley (17:45.28), Eston Miller (17:55.25), Trent Hamner (17:56.29) and Dylan Stoltzfus (18:06.98).

Cross Country takes on 7A Section 3 Meet

This Thursday Hoover’s Varsity Cross Country teams will race at Veterans Park and take on their first meet of the championship season. The boys and girls will face teams such as Oak Mountain, Spain Park, Vestavia and Mountain Brook in their bid to qualify to the State Championship on November 12th. Girls will race at 9:00 am
